Sometimes knowing yourself is the most valuable knowledge you can have, and what I know is that it’s almost time for me to pull the plug on some things.
I’ve been spending a lot of time creating NEW things like inspiring Facebook LIVE videos, a YouTube Channel, and a membership site that will be the go-to place for people who want to think, live, and feel enthusiastic and positive about life each and every day.
But you know something?
As I build all these new things
I can see that the old things
are coming apart at the seams.
Fewer and fewer people who receive The Field Notes are reading them, and very few new subscribers are coming on board.
Even though I LOVE the feeling of excitement that comes with building something new, it’s uncomfortable seeing the old falling apart (and it takes a great deal of focus to stop myself from trying to breathe new life into what I know is coming to a natural end).
Part of me wants to keep The Field Notes going forever, and yet I know that I only have so much energy and I need to focus it on what’s next. This means that eventually The Field Notes will be no more.
to make a big change that feels right for you?
Could you use an assist to hurry things along?
I’ve been writing The Field Notes for more than 3 years, and each time I do I feel like I’m writing to my favorite Penpal. I’m going to miss this weekly letter exchange and I hope that we can evolve that relationship forward so it doesn’t have to end.
Yes, I do LOVE writing The Field notes, but I also know myself well enough to know that putting time into creating something that isn’t attracting new people (or exciting the people who currently receive them) is neither helping others nor going to feel satisfying to me for long. Eventually, I’ll have to stick a fork in it and call it done.
But don’t worry!
The Field Notes aren’t going away immediately, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to switch over to The Danielle Daily (it’ll be ready soon!).
In the meantime, let me know what’s new and exciting in your life, and if you’re ready to take on the challenge of making a big change that feels right for you, I’m here to show you the steps to navigating change successfully and to coach you through. Just contact me here and we’ll set up a time to chat about how I discreetly assist women like you in doing just that.
That’s all for now. Until next week…
