I’ve been holding something back from you.
I’ve been practically bursting at the seams to share the BIG news, but things weren’t 100% settled yet, and I didn’t want to tell you until I was absolutely sure.
The BIG news?
I’ve been invited to give a TEDx Talk!
The mission of TED and TEDx events is to spread ideas.
TED Talks have been given by some of the world’s greatest and most influential minds.
(BTW: If you haven’t heard of TED Talks, Google it and be amazed by what you’ve been missing.)
TEDx events are independently organized, and the talks are given by people who are less notable, but who have up-and-coming ideas.
TEDx speakers are the next generation of thought leaders and influencers.
And now…I’m going to be one.
As EXCITED as I am, once again this pint-sized anthropologist in a dress is left scratching her head wondering,
“How exactly did I get invited to THIS party?”
However, not being one to pass up a fabulous opportunity, of course I said YES!
So, in May I will be once again putting on my red lipstick and hopping on a plane to Arizona to speak about The Purse Process®, this time at a high-profile event.
I am equal parts excited and terrified!
On the one hand, a poorly done TED or TEDx Talk will quickly fade into oblivion.
No big deal.
But, one that is done well?
Well, all TED and TEDx Talks are filmed and posted on TED channels, so there is the potential of my idea being seen by the masses and even going viral.
Sharing my idea behind The Purse Process® in a way that is so inspirational that it goes viral, is exactly what I’m aiming for.
Nope, I haven’t put any pressure on myself at all. 😉
Although the event is already sold out, I’ll send you the link to my talk when it is posted. If you feel inspired by it, I hope you’ll share it with those you think would also be inspired.
So, that’s my BIG news! My very first TEDx Talk. I can barely believe it!
Unfortunately, I’m sorry to say there are no Clarity Calls available this week.
I’m spending that time rewriting my bio and outlining my speech, but feel free to drop me a line to say HI, or let me know what you’re up to by hitting reply.
I still personally read all my emails and love hearing from you.
Until next week,
