It’s not uncommon for people to ask me as soon as I tell them about The Purse Process™, “do you process mens wallets, too?”
My answer? Absolutely. However, I have found that for the most part, men just aren’t interested in what their wallet has to say about them.
So, this weekend while in Las Vegas I was surprised by the big ah-ha one of the male attendees of Align it Live shared with me after I presented a mini version of The Purse Process™ focused around wallets from the stage.
When I met JP, he was eager to show me his very unique wallet. It was grey, and instead of being made out of leather, it was made of organic felted wool. Definitely not the run of the mill black leather bi-fold wallet most men carry. It was one of the most unique mens wallets I’ve encountered, so far.
When I took the stage I opened my talk by asking the crowd of (mostly women) entrepreneurs, “Would you like to know why you have everything you need in your Purse (or your wallet) EXCEPT money?”
After I led the group of 100 participants through a series of questions about their wallet, instead of answering the question of why they had everything they needed (besides money), I prompted them to draw their own conclusions about what their wallet revealed about their relationship with money.
The next morning, JP approached me with a very different perspective on his wallet. It was still a cool wallet, but what examining his wallet with me and the group revealed to him was that he didn’t have room for money. Not just in his wallet, but in his life and in his business.
My favorite thing about applying my anthropology and archaeology skills to business is revealing things that are hidden in plain sight. Things that other coaches simply don’t have the skill set to see or reveal to you.
Would you believe me if I told you that I can pinpoint the reason you’re not generating the revenue in your business you want, simply by looking into your wallet or handbag? What might a unique perspective on your business reveal about your relationship with money?
I love sharing my process from the stage, but I’m even more excited to tell you that I’ll be sharing The Purse Process™ on TV this week!
